May 2014 marked the beginning of our foster adoptions program for dogs and October 2014 we began our foster adoption programs of cats. Both programs have been successful in saving the lives of homeless, unwanted animals.  In 2014 we were able to find forever homes for over 600 animals.  To make these programs successful, we rely on much needed supplies for our foster homes.  Can you help by donating supplies?   Below are items that our teams need.  Donations are accepted at our office, 2101 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City, TN, Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.  If you prefer to purchase items online check out our wish lists on Amazon Smile.  Order online and Amazon will ship directly to the Humane Society of Washington County.   By using Amazon Smile, Amazon will donate .5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charity of you choice.  Learn More

Cat Foster Team

We average over 100 cats and kittens in our foster program daily. These animals either come from our local shelter or are surrendered to us by individuals who we then assist with spaying and neutering their pets. We have established a wish list on Amazon Smiles of supplies that we need on a daily basis. Any help provided, is greatly appreciated.

Dog Foster Team

At any one time the HSWC foster home network can have up to 100 animals in foster. We rescue and foster animals from the area kill shelters. Many of the items we use in fostering (crates, pens, laundry soap, disinfectant, garbage bags, etc.) are purchased with our own funds. We would appreciate any help.
